West Texas Climb and Kayak (Ages 12-17)

This year we’re heading back to the Pecos River to explore the scenic cliffs on the banks of a desert canyon.  We’ll rock climb and rappel 100 feet to the crystal clear river below.  We’ll also spend some time hiking along a desert canyon to the site of Native American pictographs.  Next we’ll travel to Junction, Texas where we will enjoy some whitewater kayaking on the Llano River.  Parents, please note that this trip is physically and mentally demanding.  Please assess your child’s desire and ability before signing them up.  There is a Mandatory Pre-Trip Meeting on March 10, 7:00-8:00 pm (Parks & Recreation Admin. Building, 1101 N. College Street.)

Course #30195  March 15-19, 2010

Fee:  $295 Residents / $315 Nonresidents
$30 of the total fee is a nonrefundable deposit. This is due at time of registration, and the remaining balance must be paid in full by Monday, March 8, 2010.

>>Registration form
>>Trip Report (Live)

IMPORTANT:   If the balance is not paid in full by March 8, 2010 your child’s spot will be forfeited to the next child on the waitlist.  You will lose your reservation and your $30.00 deposit.  Refunds, minus the $30 deposit, will only be given if cancellation is received seven days prior to the start of camp.  Complete refunds (including deposits) will only be given for departmental cancellations.  Because of staffing requirements, fees will not be prorated for partial attendance; tuition is based on a full week.  In the event that a child refuses to follow directions or exhibits aggressive or unsafe behavior, we will notify the parent(s) / guardian(s) and request that the child be picked up
immediately. Refunds are not available if the child is picked up early due to such behavior.
