</strong>A $50.00 Non-Refundable deposit is required at time of registration. The remaining balance is due in full on the Monday one-week prior to the start of the camp session.</p>
<p>If payment is not received in full by this time, your child will be withdrawn from camp and the next child on the waitlist will be called. You will lose your $50 deposit. We accept cash, checks and credit cards (MC, VISA &amp; Discover).</p>

<p align="left">Under the instruction of Head Pro Pete Polkinghorn, the GTC Junior Tennis Academy is instruction for the competitive tournament player. This academy will cover singles and doubles strategy, physical training, shot selection and more. Space is limited, so register today! Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat/visor &amp; racquet each day.</p>

Each session will offer campers opportunities to learn life-long recreation skills and promote the positive use of free time. Our program will provide outdoor experiences that will help youth to gain self-confidence, responsibility, self-awareness, problem-solving and decision making skills.</p>

<p>Parents will be required to complete a  Registration Form:  <a href="http://files.georgetown.org/2009-summer-camp-registration-form/">summer-camps-2009</a> before attending camp. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for registration. The balance must be paid in full one week prior to the start of the session (Monday by 5:00pm). Registration is limited to 12 participants per session on a first to register basis.</p>

<p><span style="color: #339966"><strong>Session 1: Hill Country Kayaking June 8-12 </strong></span></p>
<p>Learn what it takes to paddle in our Hill Country whitewater streams using sit-on-top kayaks. Students will receive instruction in proper kayaking technique, self-rescue, and river reading skills. This camp includes day trips and an overnight to local Hill Country rivers. Good swimming skills are highly recommended. Fee: $195 Resident; $220 Nonresident</p>
<p><span style="color: #339966"><strong>Session 2: Arkansas Travel Camp June 23-30 </strong></span></p>
<p>We’re traveling to the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Adventures include caving at Devil’s Den State Park, rock climbing at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, canoeing on the Buffalo River, and horseback riding near Buffalo Pt. Fee: $350 Resident; $375 Nonresident</p>
<p><span style="color: #339966"><strong>Session 3: Colorado Travel Camp July 6-14</strong></span></p>
<p>This year we’re heading to the Leadville area in Colorado for nine days of outdoor activities. Adventures include rock climbing, backpacking in the Flattops Wilderness, and whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River. Fee: $375 Resident; $400 Nonresident</p>
<p><span style="color: #339966"><strong>Session 4: Extreme Water Sports July 20-24 </strong></span></p>
<p>If you like staying cool in the hot summer, then this is the session for you. Day trips include whitewater kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, and wake boarding. Fee: $225 Resident; $250 Nonresident</p>
<p><span style="color: #339966"><strong>Session 5: Texas Coast Travel Camp </strong></span></p>
<p>Join us for a new adventure as we explore our own Texas Coast. Adventures include a 3 day sea kayaking trip to Matagorda Island, kayak fishing for redfish, and windsurfing at Padre Island.  Fee: $325 Resident; $350 Nonresident</p>

<p><strong>Who May Participate</strong></p>
<p>Summer adventure camp is open to all young people between the ages of 12 and 17. Youth who turn 12 before the start of the enrolled session and who do not turn 18 before the start of the enrolled session are eligible. Campers should be able to function effectively with their peers; be able to understand and follow through with basi instructions; be physically able to hike moderate distances and be willing to work and learn in a group setting. Parents, please note these camps are physically and mentally demaning. Please assess your child&#8217;s ability before signing them up.</p>
<p><strong>Program</strong></p>
<p>Summer adventure camp will consist of 2 one-week day camp sessions and 3 travel camp sessions. All camps will run out of the Georgetown Recreation Center located at 1003 N. Austin Ave.</p>
<p>Each one-week session will include team building on our ropes course, day trips, daily snacks, and an overnight experience. The daily programming for a one-week session is from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., with the exception of the overnight experience and occasional extended day for field trips. Campers who need early drop off and late pick-up will be able to exercise Recreation Center membership privileges before and after camp hours. They will be required to sign-in and out at the Recreation Center Front Desk and follow all facility rules.</p>
<p>Each travel camp will consist of various adventure activities, overnight primitive camping, two nights of cabin/hotel lodging, and a service project.</p>
<p><strong>Orientation Meeting</strong></p>
<p>Parents/guardians and campers should attend a mandatory orientation meeting on Tuesday, June 2nd from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at a location to be announced. You will receive a parent information packet, be informed on critical logistics, receive a camp itinerary, meet staff and receive a packing/&#8221;what to bring&#8221; list. Please make every effort to attend this meeting.</p>
<p><strong>Camper Equipment</strong></p>
<p>The adventure program will provide all equipment necessary for activities. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch, water bottles, day pack, hiking/tennis shoes, hat, swim suit, sun block, and a camera (optional). Any other necessary items will be discussed at the orientation meeting. Registration fees include all overnight meals with the exception of meals while traveling ($20-$100 depending on session).</p>
<p><strong>Cancellation Policy</strong><br />
• Departmental cancellations- 100% credit or refund<br />
• Client cancellation (7+ days in advance)- credit or refund money minus the $50 non-refundable deposit<br />
• Client cancellation (within 7 days)- no credit or refund<br />
• Inclement weather- programming will be held indoors.</p>
